My name is Rebeccah Simon, and I am going to become a Bat-Mitzvah on November 14, 2009. For my Mitzvah project, I hope to raise money for the Ethiopian Jewish children in Gondar Province, who are waiting patiently for a chance to make Aliyah to Israel, to provide them money for their school lunches. We all know that a good lunch is important, and as these children don't get much food at home, the lunches served at school will most likely be the largest meal they can get in a day. With a full belly, they can focus on their classes, and get the education they need to get them out of poverty and into a better life. Even if you can't donate a lot, I will appreciate every dollar that is put in, and the children will be very thankful for it too.
